Frequently asked questions

What is relative strength (RS) in the stock market?

Relative strength measures how an instrument performs versus a benchmark — a stock against its sector index, or a sector against Nifty 50. Unlike raw price momentum, RS reveals genuine leadership: a stock can rise while still lagging its peers.

How does BearBull Scan calculate momentum?

BearBull Scan computes three composite momentum scores — short, medium, and long term — for each stock and index. Each score is a weighted blend of two price-return lookbacks, so a single noisy session doesn't dominate the reading.

What do ST, MT, and LT mean?

ST, MT, and LT stand for short, medium, and long term. They apply to both momentum (M) and relative strength (RS), giving six composite scores per instrument: M-ST / M-MT / M-LT and RS-ST / RS-MT / RS-LT.

Which market does BearBull Scan cover?

BearBull Scan covers the Indian equity market — 90+ indices and 1,300+ stocks, ranked and refreshed after every daily close.
